How Frère Roger meets the Last Night of the Proms
Many people enter this weblog everyday, primarily because they find themselves pointed at niet onopgemerkt by the Google Images Search Engine.
Most people, from the USA to Sweden to Germany to India, are searching for pictures of brother Roger of Taizé, whom I saw last July and to whose assassination I devoted this posting on 16 August. Click the link in the red text to see the burial ceremony.
And a good second place for the London Last Night of the Proms on 10 September. You find the image and a link to the BBC Proms website here.
And please don't forget to look around... if you master Dutch. And for those who are curious for the meaning of 'niet onopgemerkt': it means 'not unnoticed' and it is part of the final words of the Dutch author Gerard Reve's magnificent novel De avonden ('the evenings').
